Goffstown Historical Society: 28 Main Street
The building, known as the “Paige Block”, was constructed around 1900. There were 2 apartments on the second floor and 2 on the third. The first floor housed Paige’s Restaurant and Nazef’s Shoe Store. There was a bar in the basement in the 1920’s or 30’s.
In the 1960’s Paige’s Restaurant became The Whistle Stop Restaurant & Nazif’s Shoe Store became a fabric store. Sometime in the 1980’s the entire first floor became the
Happy Dragon Restaurant and Bar.
